Agile induction (introduction to agile and hybrid project management)

The Agile Induction course is aimed at the first introduction to agility and its procedures for anyone considering an agile transformation in a team or department. A substantial part of the course is conducted as a management simulation.

  • Real agility has to be experienced. The multi-round simulation is designed so that you can see your improvement in the second round
  • You will get the prerequisites for introducing agility in human language : when are we really ready to enter the agile world
  • Roadmap – what I need to do to transform from traditional to agile management

The form of realization of the course is  face-to-face or online (or both forms) .
The working methods used in the training programs are chosen in such a way as to ensure interactivity, adapt the content to the needs of the participants and  prioritize the transfer of knowledge into practice .

  • You will learn the principles of agile management: what is a sprint, how to track value, get feedback from the client and when to use kanban rather than scrum.
  •  In the management simulation, in two rounds, you will try increasing the flexibility of management and, thanks to team decisions, you will verify your ability to react better to changes.

First round of simulation

  • Assignment of an agile project
  • Division of teams and agile roles (customer, product manager, scrum master, team member)
  • How will we measure the success of an agile project?
  • Translating the customer request into the backlog of works
  • Practical simulation of agile development: pre-planning, stand-up, sprint, demo
  • Retrospective: lessons and experiences

Prerequisites for introducing agility and rules for agile teams

  • When are we ready for agile transformation?
  • Kanban – rules and procedures
  • Scrum – rules and procedures
  • Preparation for the second round of simulation and proposal of improvements

Second round of simulation

  • Estimation of velocity (cadence) and visualization of the obtained value (burn-down chart)
  • Application of agile principles to team work
  • Retrospective: lessons and experiences

For course participants, we offer the possibility of subsequent application support in the form of individual consultation with a lecturer or in the form of workshops directly at the client.
