Training of Trainers in Production

The Training of Trainers in Production course is aimed at developing the skills of the participants needed to effectively conduct internal trainings.

  • Teach trainers the basic principles of onboarding in a practical, visual, and simple way to ensure that the integration of new employees is effective and motivating.

  • Learn how to give clear and understandable instructions, demonstrate tasks, and verify comprehension.

  • Realize that what may seem obvious to me can be more complex for a newcomer, and they need to learn it step by step.

  • Understand that the way I approach and communicate with a new colleague during onboarding has a significant impact on the effectiveness of the training, as well as on the loyalty and motivation of the new employee.

  • Practice real-life onboarding situations through role-play training.

Clear and Effective Communication by the Trainer During Onboarding

  • How to monitor, correct, and provide constructive feedback to help the newcomer improve and integrate as quickly as possible

  • Guidelines for mentor behavior during onboarding – what is expected and what should be avoided

Motivation During Onboarding

  • What to do and what to avoid to motivate rather than demotivate the newcomer

  • Realizing that what is routine and clear to me may still be difficult to grasp for a new employee, who needs training and time

Types of Employees and How to Adapt Communication and Approach

  • The most common types of new employees we typically encounter

  • How to identify each type and what their specific onboarding needs are

  • What to focus on and how to tailor communication to the individual

Challenging Situations from Practice

  • Addressing selected challenging onboarding situations based on participants’ real experiences, with recommendations on how to respond (e.g., when the employee is demotivated, seems incapable, is surprised by a different type of work, or when colleagues speak negatively about the company, etc.)

The training will include experiential activities, role-play practice, and problem-solving based on real onboarding situations in production. Participants will also watch short FBE methodological video clips demonstrating both correct and incorrect approaches and communication during onboarding.
