SPC I – Process Capability and Stability

The SPC I course provides a solid foundation in Statistical Process Control, explains the principles of process stability and capability, and teaches participants how to properly collect and analyze data, create control charts, and interpret capability indices in practice.

  • Under the guidance of an experienced lecturer, participants apply the content mainly using  exercises and examples from practice.
  • Top lecturers  with experience and experts in their field.
  • High degree of satisfaction  of course participants .

The form of realization of the course is  face-to-face or online (or both forms) .
The working methods used in the training programs are chosen in such a way as to ensure interactivity, adapt the content to the needs of the participants and  prioritize the transfer of knowledge into practice .

  • To familiarize participants with the fundamental principles of Statistical Process Control and the methodology for evaluating process stability and capability.
  • To teach the practical use of control charts and capability indices (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk, Cm, Cmk) in analyzing processes and equipment.

Fundamentals of Statistical Process Control

  • Process stability and capability
  • Sampling and practical recommendations
  • SPC in measurement and comparison

Control Charts

  • Creation and analysis of control charts for continuous variables
  • Instability tests according to ISO 8258: X-R, X-s, and X-individual-R (moving charts)
  • Attribute charts (np, p, c, u) – interpretation and practical application
  • Case examples of control chart creation for different processes and useful application tips

Process and Equipment Capability Analysis

  • Calculation and interpretation of process capability indices (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk)
  • Machine capability indices (Cm, Cmk)
  • Practical examples and case studies

Computer-Aided SPC – Practical Exercises

  • Data collection, analysis, and presentation from processes
  • Practical demonstrations of data analysis and result interpretation
  • Creation of control charts and calculation of capability indices in software environments
  • Exercises using participants’ real data with the support of PC tools

During the SPC I-III trainings, participants can use either their own software (Minitab, or other) or the “SPC for Excel” software, which will be loaned to them during the trainings and can be purchased at a discounted price.

For course participants, we offer the possibility of subsequent application support in the form of individual consultation with a lecturer or in the form of workshops directly at the client.
